I went to the hardware store today and just walked around. I thought I knew what I was going to get, but when I look at the stuff available, I just thought there could be a better way to do my walls.
Initially, my walls would be constructed from:
- 10mm of Foilboard
- 10mm air gap
- 3mm of melamine MDF
I was going to use a piece of L shaped aluminium fixed to the floor to keep the bottom of the wall in place. So I won’t actually hold it in place along the bottom.
Along the middle, I planned on using a square aluminium tube to hold the wall in place.
The top of the walls I would hold in place using existing holes from the previous walls. I think.
Then after I started looking at all the stuff I could get. I’m thinking now, I have to think forward and could build the wall and frames for seats, beds and benches all from the square aluminium tube. I’ll have to sit in the back tomorrow and think it out.
So, I came home with some L aluminium and a couple of sheets of MDF and a PVC joining strip…
